Exciting Merger

Two Houston-area private Christian schools recently “married” and merged on one campus after nearly forty years in operation on campuses just 7 minutes apart. King’s Academy originally formed in 1982 as an outreach of Mission Bend United Methodist Church, located at 3710 Highway 6 South near Westpark Tollway. The school became independent from the church in 2003 and changed their name from Mission Bend Christian Academy to King’s Academy in 2019. Southwest Christian Academy organized as an independent, private Christian school at 3700 Eldridge Parkway in 1984.
